       In the 1980’s, with the TV show ‘Dallas’ having such international popularity, I thought there should be a spice that imparted a special Texas flavor. Since there was none to be found, I decided to create one! Texas soon became a favorite with all who tried it.
       Texas is a distinctive blend that will impart that “Outdoor Taste” that is so popular today. It brings to mind food cooked over an open fire.
        It is great on beef, chicken and pork; increases the enjoyment that comes from game and fish and spiffs up salads, soups and sauces.
        A great use is to combine a tablespoon of Texas with a 1/2 cup of virgin olive oil, a splash of balsamic vinegar and let sit for an hour. Spread over the salad of your choice.
